Ayia Thekla

The coastal village of Ayia Thekla is located three kilometers west of the popular resort of Ayia Napa. Ayia Thekla is named after the tiny old church in one of the oldest spots in the region dating back to the Middle Ages. A thirty minute drive along the motorway and you are at Larnaca airport. For those wishing to explore further, Paphos is only a two hour drive away.  This small community is rapidly gaining favour with British home buyers, due to its sleepy nature, yet close proximity to the many amenities of Ayia Napa, Paralimni and Protaras. The village itself is set in a lovely, peaceful locality, surrounded by the region's natural flora with a backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea.

A small sandy beach 300 metres long and 25 metres wide and covered with fine golden sand providing one of the central features of Ayia Thekla. The sea here is very calm protected from the waves by a tiny island just off-shore, allowing safe swimming for all ages.  Beach and water sports facilities are available while a convenience store is located close by. The beach is within walking distance from the main road leading to Ayia Napa and is accessible by car, motorbike and bicycle as well as on foot.  The larger Macronossis Beach is located between Ayia Thekla and Ayia Napa.  Water Sports, food and drinks are available so you can arrive early and spend the whole day.

Ayia Thekla is close to the planned Marina which will accommodate 600 boats and will have a wealth of shops and restaurants.
